Skyline Marketing Ltd Uncover The Brits’ Entrepreneurial Spirit

According to new research, almost a fifth of the British workforce would start their own business. Skyline Marketing Ltd therefore calls for further support from the government to provide funding and advice to encourage business minded Brits to make their dream a reality.

A recent survey conducted by YouGov for Virgin StartUp reveals that 19% of employees in the UK would like to start their own business, presumed that the right advice and funding would be available (virgin.com). Jamie Talbot, Managing Director of Birmingham based sales and marketing firm Skyline Marketing Ltd, sees the results of the YouGov study as a great opportunity to encourage and support more Brits to run their own business and hence accelerate the economical recovery.

The research also reveals that one third of the British workforce is unhappy in their current job (virgin.com). “Being an entrepreneur sounds exciting for many people, maybe a little scary for others”, says Jamie Talbot of Skyline Marketing Ltd. “Nevertheless, being your own boss comes with many advantages. So it seems just normal that people want to know what it is like to be an entrepreneur. Available funding and guidance could give many Brits the push to follow through with their dream”, adds Jamie Talbot.

According to the YouGov survey, almost a quarter, 24% of the employees questioned, find the opportunity to have creative freedom as a key motivator. 23% of the British workforce would welcome the challenge of being their own boss and 18% like the idea of being able to supplement or grow their income (virgin.com). “Being an entrepreneur can be very exciting.”, says Jamie Talbot, “it basically means doing what you love the way you like it.”
Jamie Talbot explains that becoming an entrepreneur is hard work. “It is impossible to become a successful entrepreneur without putting your heart into it 100%. Entrepreneurs will need to invest time and effort in order to become and especially remain successful”, explains Jamie Talbot. “It is definitely not a nine-to-five job, but it feels absolutely amazing to achieve your goals and do what you love.”
