It’s Christmas every day at Tyne Bank Brewery!

Wishing it was Christmas every day? You’re in luck, because at Tyne Bank Brewery – it is! The independent brewery and taproom, on Walker Road, have introduced two festive beers, including: Vesuvius, which is the brewery’s take on a classic Christmas treat – Neapolitan ice-cream. With luxurious chocolate, strawberry and vanilla flavours, this 6% ABV stout is both naughty and nice.

If panna cotta is more to your taste, be sure to try Portrait of a Lady – a 7.2% white stout, which takes inspiration from the rich and creamy Italian dessert. A golden ale with carefully-balanced malts, and undertones of vanilla and lemon, Portrait of a Lady is smooth to the taste – and described as a “dessert in a glass!”

Julia Austin, owner of Tyne Bank Brewery, said:

“Christmas is all about treating yourself (and others!), so why not give our pudding-themed festive stouts a try? As with all of our beers, we have selected the finest ingredients for maximum taste and drinking pleasure!”

As well as the two limited-edition stouts, Tyne Bank Brewery also have a calendar of events happening over the festive period. Chill out every Sunday, with coffee from Tynemouth Coffee Company from 10am, and an array of tasty treats from street food vendor, Nin’s Shack, from 12noon. On the menu are Nin’s famous Yorkshire Pudding Wraps, Homemade Scotch Egg and “Drunk” Cheese n Truffle Dirty Fries… and more!

On Saturday 8 December, join some of the region’s makers and creatives at the Tyne Bank Christmas Market, stock up on handcrafted, bespoke gifts from the likes of Handmade Tyneside, Muddy Fingers Pottery, Nowt Special and more. Open from 12pm – 8pm, the Christmas Market is dog and child-friendly, plus there’ll be mince pies, mulled wine and festive tunes to get you in the spirit.

On Sunday 16 December, catch family-favourite, Elf on the big screen at a festive movie-night which is free to enter.

Finally, the whole family are invited to come along to the brewery on Saturday 22 December, where kids and adults alike can treat themselves to a hog roast and live music in preparation for the big day.
