Elite Intuition Reviews Recent Job Creation Report That Shows Shocking Disparity Between North and South Powerhouses

Leading customer acquisition firm Elite Intuition reviews the shocking disparity between the rate of job creation in the South of England, compared to the North.

A report from the Office of National Statistics shows that job creation remains weaker in the North than the South, despite the Southern powerhouse starting three years after the North in terms of recovering from the economic recession. These findings came as a shock to Elite Intuition, as the chancellor had highlighted the North West as a business hub which was growing faster than anywhere else in the country.The ONS said: “Northern England regions collectively have grown below the UK average in both the 2009-2014 period (growing at 2.2%) and the 2013-2014 period (growing at 2.7%). This is in stark contrast to the Southern regions, which collectively have grown by 7.5% during the 2009-2014 period and 3.5% during the 2013-2014 period."

There are many speculated contributing factors in respect to the statistics, but it is believed that the main factor influencing the growth of employment in the North is the reliance on manufacturing as the second largest source of employment in the North. In the South it is the seventh largest source.Manufacturing is still below expected output post-recession, therefore job creation is to be lower as a result.
