Would you climb Ben Nevis for £10,000?

News provided by Eva Patterson on Monday 5th Aug 2019

BenNevis.co.uk, a resource site for people looking to visit Ben Nevis Mountain, is on the lookout for two people to help pull off a publicity/charity event. The biggest perk for the applicants is the £10,000 they're willing to pay the successful candidates.

Ava Patterson, the organiser of this event, states “In recent years, Ben Nevis has grown in popularity and visitors' numbers are on the increase. In efforts to continue this trend, we're planning an event to further promote Ben Nevis as a destination for travellers around the globe."

“We’re looking for two people to help aid in our efforts, and we’re offering £10,000 to the successful applicants. We’re not requiring seasoned climbers or mountain veterans, but overall good fitness is required, as Ben Nevis isn’t always an easy climb.”

Whilst exact details of the event haven’t been released yet, the event has been designed to gain attention worldwide - so the event will be quite unusual, and something that will mark a historic moment in Ben Nevis’ history.

While the £10,000 offered sounds like a great offering, there is a large amount of work that needs to be put in by the applicants. Ava states that “successful candidates will need to attend video conference calls with our sponsors to discuss the logistics in the months leading up to the event, along with being available for two full weeks in July 2020.”

July tends to be the start of the more suitable months to climb Ben Nevis and before the busiest period of climbers.
