Wiltshire Sight Run Dog Classes at Bowood Show

News provided by Wiltshire Sight on Tuesday 7th Jun 2016

Wiltshire Sight have organised the classes at this year’s Bowood Dog Show on the 18th and 19th June. The show will take place at Bowood House and all class entry fees will be given to the Devizes based sight loss charity.

Founder member of the Bowood Charity Dog Show, The Marchioness of Lansdowne decided to retire from running the show in 2015 - its tenth and final year - after raising over £300,000 for local charities. In 2016, the event will be organised on a commercial basis over two days by Living Heritage with the support of Lord Lansdowne.

There are a variety of classes available to enter – six pedigree and nine fun – including Waggiest Tail, Loveliest Dog, Puppy and Veteran. There will also be a Pimms Bar organised by Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust and a range of stalls to browse.

Claire Neal, Community Fundraiser at Wiltshire Sight said: “After being involved with the show for a number of years, we are excited to be running the classes in their new layout. Wiltshire Sight are delighted to be working with Living Heritage to produce a fun day out for the whole family, there are some fantastic prizes to be won throughout the two days of competition. The entry fees we receive will go directly towards supporting local people living with sight loss.”
