The Social Innovation and Global Ethics Forum (SIGEF 2014) Announces its Call for Projects
Applications can be submitted via the SIGEF 2014 website. October 10th will be the final deadline.
SIGEF 2014, organized by Horyou, the Social Network for Social Good, invites Social Entrepreneurs from all over the world to participate and showcase their innovative projects.
New York, NY, September 16, 2014 – Horyou, the Social Network for Social Good announces SIGEF 2014’s Call for Projects and invites social entrepreneurs from all over the world to showcase their innovative projects at the International Conference Centre of Geneva (CICG) from October 22nd – 24th.
“Call for Projects is an important component of SIGEF 2014 since it will show a variety of socially innovative developments that are in the process of making a difference at a local, national, and global level,” states Founder and CEO, Yonathan Parienti.
Applications can be submitted via the SIGEF 2014 website: www.sigef2014.com. The projects chosen to participate at SIGEF 2014 will be announced online on a weekly basis. October 10th will be the final deadline for submissions. Two awards will be granted to the most socially innovative projects:
- Prix du Public will be chosen by SIGEF 2014 attendees and participants. The selected project will receive CHF 8000 (approximately USD 8,500).
- Coup d’Coeur will be chosen by the SIGEF 2014 organizing team. The selected project will receive CHF 2500 (approximately USD 2,700).
Yonathan Parienti expresses, “We acknowledge the efforts and creativity of social innovators that are moving forward with their ideas, visions, and actions. We have confidence that these initiatives can and will benefit citizens and society in many positive ways. At the same time, SIGEF 2014 is free for everyone to attend. We welcome Organizations (NGOs, Foundations, and Associations), students, researchers, CSR companies, and the general public to actively interact and participate.”

Gaby Castellanos - CEO, Socialphilia and Social Media Strategist
Kate Ahern - VP for Social Innovation, The Case Foundation
Mishal Hamed Kanoo – Deputy Chairman of the Kanoo Group
Ray Lema - Musician, Composer, and Founder of the l'Université des Musiques Africaines (UMA)
