The Artistic Genius who draws cities from memory

News provided by The Stephen Wiltshire Gallery on Monday 15th Oct 2012

Stephen Wiltshire is an artist who draws and paints detailed cityscapes. He has a particular talent for drawing lifelike, accurate representations of cities, sometimes after having only observed them briefly. He was awarded an MBE for services to the art world in 2006. His work is popular all over the world, and is held in a number of important collections. He opened his own gallery in London at the Royal Opera Arcade, where he works on his commissions and the public can also meet him.

Stephen has created several famous panorama drawings of iconic cities all around the world in recent years, including London, New York, Tokyo, Rome, Dubai, Madrid and Jerusalem. These artworks were all drawn from memory after a short helicopter ride over the city.

His new collection of drawings alongside his new 2013 Calendar are now displayed in his gallery on Pall Mall at 5 Royal Opera Arcade.

Stephen will be doing an in store signing on the 19th of October 2012 between 1pm and 4pm and fans can have their prints, calendars, postcards or anything they wish, autographed by him.
