Tea brand Thés Lac Rose donates to breast cancer research with homage tea collection.

Couture tea brand, Thés Lac Rose, donates proceedings from tribute green tea collection “And God made Woman” to breast cancer research for the international breast awareness month.

Thés Lac Rose, the premium tea and Great Taste Award-winning brand was founded in London in 2018 by then 23 year-old tea aficionada, Dalla Niakhaté. The Parisian-born Senegalese takes advantage of her rich heritage and cultural background to create mesmerizing and poetic tea blends. Her handmade tea collections are released seasonally with ethically-sourced tea leaves and available on the brand website www.theslacrose.com.
During international breast cancer awareness month or Pink October, Thés Lac Rose are fundraising for breast cancer research by supporting the UK's biggest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now. Thés Lac Rose will donate 15% of its proceeds from the sale of its “And God made Woman” green tea collection to Breast Cancer Now.

Thés Lac Rose’s green tea collection “And God made Woman” is a tribute to “the Woman with a capital W.” With three flavourful green teas (the blends include gourmet ingredients such as rose petals, violet, raspberry, safflower petals or even cherry), three women who changed History and made their own rules are brought to the fore.
Simone, Frida, Ndate Yalla: one was a French politician and militant who advocated for women’s rights in a very conservative French society; the other was an iconic Mexican artist whose life was as tragic as it was inspiring; and the last, a Senegalese queen and war chief who resisted French invasion.

“Our “And God made Woman” collection is an ode to incredible women whose courage have impacted the lives of many, up to this day. It only made sense for us to also honour the women of today who are fighting to beat breast cancer and to support research. - said Dalla Niakhaté Thés Lac Rose’s founder. “We all have a role to play in making breast cancer a distant memory. This starts by reminding women around us about test screening and by taking action at our own respective level.”
