The ETERNAL SHAME of SUE PERKINS

Tour Extended! Jan, Feb & March 2027

“Excellent” ★★★★ The Telegraph

Heart-warming” ★★★★ The Times

“Intimate and raw” ★★★★ Mail on Sunday

The Eternal Shame of Sue Perkins, the comedian’s first stand-up show in nearly 20 years, is going out on the road again in early 2027. The show played 43 venues earlier this year, garnering sold-out houses and great reviews. Sue Perkins said today:

"I loved performing the live shows this spring - so much so that I’m doing it all again next year. UK comedy audiences are unbeatable. Thanks to all of you who came to see me on tour, including the woman from Chichester who gasped and started rocking at the mention of the word ‘w*nk’ and the somewhat confused heckler in Walthamstow who kept shouting about how quiet they were being. I really look forward to seeing you on the next leg for more nonsense, oversharing and general giddiness."

The 2027 tour will open in Norwich (Theatre Royal) on 9th January 2027 and visit a further 37 towns and cities, ending in performances at Soho Theatre, Walthamstow on April 2nd & 3rd.

In this show about stigma, humiliation, and misunderstanding, Sue shares hilarious stories from behind the TV cameras, from eating too much cake and imbibing too many hallucinogens to the moment when 'making an extraordinary noise' on Taskmaster was so significant.

She explores the fallout when her pituitary gland goes haywire, and how to convince the public she didn’t really fall onto that hoover attachment; and when intimate photos get splashed all over the internet, how to switch the shame to dignity and joy.

Sue Perkins has been a prominent presence on our TVs and radio for over thirty years. Her career began in stand-up comedy in the early 1990s. She was president of the Cambridge Footlights Society and, in 1991, began taking shows to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with Mel Giedroyc. That comedy partnership, forged in the sweaty basements of the fringe, endured and entertained audiences with hours of television, including seven series of The Great British Bake Off. Sue has returned to her stand-up roots for this touring show, and this summer she will also be appearing at Latitude Festival and the Neville Holt Festival, and is on the bill with Harry Hill and Stewart Lee at Up the Anti (Leicester Square Theatre) on July 6th.
