Instead of letting unused tech go to waste, universities and colleges are invited to partner with SocialBox.Biz for outreach program

LONDON, UK APRIL 3, 2020 - While many universities, colleges and schools routinely replace their tech, including laptops and other devices, the team at SocialBox.Biz is reaching out to engage educational institutions across the United Kingdom regarding the Laptops for the Homeless and Vulnerable initiative. 

Unused but functional technology can be repurposed and donated to refugees, homeless and the elderly through the SocialBox.Biz donation program that has already touched the lives of many by offering new and exciting opportunities for careers, education, and communication.

University of Westminster already published this appeal on their website, twitter and LinkedIn page on 31 March 2020

“We are always looking for more educational institutions to help us increase the number of laptops we’re putting in the hands of those in need,” said Gio Valdez, Social Impact Projects Leader at SocialBox.Biz.

As we transition our services online, laptops from Social Box are crucial to maintaining that connection and face-to-face help we provide to refugees. Without being able to get online, many vulnerable individuals would be left completely alone and unable to access important information.''
