Laptops help homeless youth discover and pursue career and education

MAY 23, 2019 - The team at Social Box Biz has just announced a recent partnership with New Horizon Youth Centre, a London-based charity serving local homeless youth. Through the new partnership, the companies are providing homeless people ages 16-21 with laptops.

“Learning job skills and finding employment opportunities can be challenging without the ability to have regular access to a computer,” said the team at Social Box Biz. 

The youth that come to New Horizon Youth Centre don’t typically have access to such resources without using a public computer. 

Social Box Biz procures used but still useful laptops by accepting donations from corporations and business professionals and then places open-source software on them before donating to those in need.

Social Box Biz is grateful for the donations they have received and is thrilled that their work is making an impact in the community.

The team at Social Box Biz is currently accepting donations from companies and professionals who are upgrading their old tech. With community partnerships such as the one with New Horizon Youth Centre, Social Box Biz is helping those in need get back on their feet with the empowerment that technology offers.

Companies can now receive their own box for doing good - even employees can participate and help their employer build up their Environmental Social Governance ( ESG ) profiles!
