New study shares how local donations can make impacts on companies and economies
LONDON, The United Kingdom – Socialbox.Biz has just released a case study that sheds light on the far reaching impact that local donations made by corporations can make on communities, individuals, economies, and the companies themselves.
In the newly released cased study, the team at Social Box Biz notes the importance of the Environmental, Societal and Governance (ESG) aspects. “These three factors are vital in measuring the sustainability of any company,” said the Social Box Biz team, “including the ethical impact of investments made in a company.”
ESG is a tool for measuring the future financial performance of a company, and the values contained within are also particularly useful for investors. Donating goods locally is one strategy for demonstrating strength in ESG.
In addition, the new case study reveals that donating locally can also reduce carbon emissions. Scope 3 numbers, which are tracked publicly by consumers and investors, keep these emissions in check, and this also shows that people in various networks are increasingly interested in eco-conscious business practices.
“When we turn to the social impact of donating business goods, the fruits are remarkable,” states the case study. Local economies can benefits by new workers coming onto the market when tech is donated, notes the study.
Within the case study, Social Box Biz also highlights several of their recent partnerships as part of their Laptops for the Homeless Initiative. These partnerships have helped numerous homeless youth and young people get back on their feet by providing them with laptops that have connected them with educational and career opportunities. Many of their stories are shared within the case study.
