Reward offered for information on dog fighting in West Midlands

Animal Protection Services is offering a reward of up to £1,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of people involved in dog fighting following an increase in reports of dog fighting in the West Midlands area.

The West Midlands area has previously been branded as the ‘UK hot spot’ for dog fighting. Animal Protection Services has experienced an increase in reports about dog fighting in the West Midlands area.

Following the increase in reports, Animal Protection Services is offering up to £1,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of people involved in dog fighting in the West Midlands area.

Jacob Lloyd, a trustee of Animal Protection Services, said: “Dog fighting is a cruel sport that belongs in the history books. We are looking for information on anyone that the public may suspect of being involved in dog fighting, including locations used for fighting dogs, the rearing, breeding and sale of fighting dogs, and any other useful information that may assist our investigations”

“We are offering a reward of up to £1,000 for information leading to a conviction of dog fighting. All of the information that is provided to us will be treated in the strictest confidence and any source may wish to remain anonymous.”
