Red Bull Catwalk Studio Collaborate With Fashion East Menswear Installations

This January, Red Bull Catwalk Studio partner with The Fashion East Menswear Installations, the ground-breaking platform internationally recognised for championing emerging menswear designers, to create soundtracks for AW14. Launched in 2011 Red Bull Catwalk Studio brings fashion and music together, giving up-and-coming musicians the chance to collaborate with fashion designers to create made-to-measure mixtapes for their fashion week soundtracks.

The Fashion East Menswear Installations offer invaluable international exposure for emerging menswear talent, acting as a springboard for designers into industry. For AW14 Fashion East curates a fresh line-up of hand-picked designers: breakthrough menswear talents Liam Hodges and Tom Ryling return and are joined by ones to watch, jeweller Roxanne Farahmand, shirt-maker Massimo Casagrande and Central Saint Martins grad Nicomede Talavera, who will present his ready-to-wear collection alongside his fourth Eastpak collaboration.

Partnering with the designers are singer/songwriter and multi-intrumentalist Rudi Zygadlo, whose pioneering releases on Planet Mu see him experimenting with dubstep and pop in a way never seen before; Glasgow based producer, DJ, vocalist and RBMA Alumni Nightwave and xxxy, whose bass-heavy productions alongside remixes for the likes of Ghoestpoet and How To Dress Well have cemented his place as a firm favourite of the likes of Pitchfork and FACT. Joining them is hotly tipped pop dance pop producer, DJ and remixer Ronika and NME tipped guitar band Puffer.

Fashion East Menswear Installations
Fashion East is a pioneering non-profit initiative established in 2000 by Lulu Kennedy and The Old Truman Brewery to nurture and showcase emerging designers through the early stages of their career. Fashion East has launched London's top design talent.

Fashion East's Menswear Installations were launched in 2009. Offering invaluable international exposure for emerging menswear talent, the project acts as a spingboard for designers into industry.

Alumni of the event includes: Sibling, Nasir Mazhar, Agi & Sam, Astrid Andersen, Matthew Miller, Mr Hare, Lou Dalton, Craig Green and most recently Meadham Kirchhoff menswear.

The Menswear Installations receives funding from the Mayor of London's London Fashion Showcasing Fund.

Red Bull Catwalk Studio is a Red Bull Studios project to bring together up-and-coming musicians with fashion designers to collaborate on fashion week soundtracks. Collaborations, mash-ups, and the ability to let an artist's creativity run wild are the intention of this forward-thinking facility, while the burgeoning list of albums to be recorded at the studio included Jessie Ware's acclalimed 2012 debut Devotion, Disclosure's number 1 hit album Settle and Bondax's anticipated 2014 debut LP.
