For Immediate Release:

Pseudomyxoma Survivor has been named “2019 TOP-RATED NONPROFIT” by GreatNonprofits

Award based on Outstanding Online Reviews

Warwick, UK (November 3rd, 2019) – Pseudomyxoma Survivor announced today it has been named a “2019 Top-Rated Nonprofit” by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews of charities and nonprofits.

Pseudomyxoma Survivor provides support to those affected by the rare cancer pseudomyxoma peritonei and appendix cancers as well as raising awareness and supporting research.

“We are honored to be named a 2019 Top-Rated Nonprofit,” says Susan Oliver, trustee and chair, Pseudomyxoma Survivor. "We are proud of our accomplishments this year, including donating money to one of only two hospitals in the UK that treat pseudomyxoma peritonei (or PMP), the Christie in Manchester and continuing our programmes of support for both patients and caregivers alike.

The Top-Rated Nonprofit Award is based on the rating and number of reviews that Pseudomyxoma Survivor received from volunteers, donors and aid recipients. Ripley told us "When your family don’t want to talk and when the rest of the world feels you should have moved on, my fellow Survivors understand and are there 24/7." and Susan added "Without Pseudomyxoma Survivor, I could not cope with this disease. It is like having a best friend who is always there for you ."

“Pseudomyxoma Survivor is a great example of a nonprofit making a real difference in their community,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits, “Their award is well-deserved recognition not only of their work but the tremendous support they receive, as shown by the many outstanding reviews they have received from people who have direct experience working with Pseudomyxoma Survivor.”

GreatNonprofits is the leading website where people share stories about their personal experiences on more than 1.6 million charities and nonprofits. The GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Awards are the only awards for nonprofits determined by those who have direct experience with the charities – as donors, volunteers and recipients of aid.
