Portugal Hosts First International Congress of Conscientiology from May 22–24, 2015

News provided by The International Academy of Consciousness on Monday 30th Mar 2015

The International Academy of Consciousness (IAC) today announced that it will host its first International Congress of Conscientiology in Alentejo, Portugal in May 2015 with the goal of contributing to the establishment of a more adequate approach to the scientific study of the consciousness.

At this year's three-day congress, 21 speakers will converge on the Research Campus, including world-renowned physicists, neurologists, doctors, psychologists, engineers, astrophysicists, philosophers and researchers from the USA, Switzerland, Norway, Ecuador, Spain, Brazil, Portugal, Italy and India. These speakers will discuss human consciousness according to various disciplines and perspectives. A live question and answer session will also take place.

"Maverick scientists have been venturing where only religion and philosophy dared, applying the principles of science, with new methodologies, to the internal, subjective world of consciousness. Consciousness is widely considered one of the greatest and most persistent mysteries of science. Why are we aware? Where does that awareness come from? Is it created by biology or is it more than that, surviving biological death?" said Analaura Trivellato, Director of Research and Scientific Communication.

The event is open to anyone interested in the multidimensional paradigm.

To apply for tickets, please visit the International Congress of Conscientiology website (http://icc.iacworld.org) or contact the organisation via email (IAC.conferences@iacworld.org) or phone (0207 6315083, Mon–Fri, 7 pm–9 pm or Sat, 1 pm–5:30 pm. Those who are interested can also call +351 268 959 148 to register directly at the campus in Portugal.

Tom Campbell, MS: NASA consultant and early Robert Monroe collaborator (author of My Big TOE, USA)

Olaf Blanke, PhD: made headlines with his neuroscience studies related to out-of-body experiences (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland)
