Paws in the Park announce BBC Antiques Roadshow expert to it's line up

News provided by Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) on Monday 11th Apr 2016

We are delighted to welcome independent jewellery consultant and long-standing expert on BBC's Antiques Roadshow, John Benjamin as one of our key speakers at this years Paws in the Park.

John Benjamin has been working in the antiques trade from a very young age and is now a leading specialist in the jewellery world. His illustrated talk, 'Romancing the Stone', will highlight the key pieces of fine jewellery worn by some of the world's most glamorous and famous people such as Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Onassis as well as talking about John's incredible career and favourite memories from his time on BBC's Antiques Roadshow.

Following what will be a superb talk, John will be kindly giving his time to undertake a 'valuation surgery' where you can have a one-on-one session with John himself to have a piece of jewellery appraised.

If you would like the opportunity to have a piece of jewellery valued by John Benjamin after his presentation, please email: emma.harrison@wvs.org.uk to arrange this. A charge of £10 per item will be made with all proceeds being donated to WVS. The number of valuations that can be carried out is limited and will be on a first come first served basis.

Paws in the Park will be held on Sunday 24th July and is a key fundraising event for Dorset-based charity WVS. This event will include a sponsored walking event and dog show set in the glorious grounds, gardens and surrounding St Giles House, the ancient seat of the Earl of Shaftesbury. These beautiful places, including the glorious gardens are not normally accessible to the general public and this is a unique opportunity for garden-lovers to explore this stunning landscape.
