Michael Foley joins as Interim CEO and Matt Healey becomes Chief Technical Officer.

LONDON, UK, 7th APRIL 2026

Pace CCS, a specialised carbon capture and storage engineering consultancy, today announced a strategic expansion of its leadership structure to meet growing global CCS customer needs. Michael Foley has been appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer, while founder and co-owner Matt Healey becomes Chief Technical Officer.

The leadership changes position Pace CCS to meet increasing demand for its concept evaluation, design and corrosion protection engineering solutions as the CCS sector continues to grow globally, including a number of operational projects.

Michael Foley held senior roles across engineering, operations, investor relations and business development in ExxonMobil, including most recently as an Executive leading its UK and European Low Carbon Solutions business.

Matt Healey founded and built Pace CCS on deep industry experience and expertise. As Chief Technical Officer, Matt will continue to ensure the overall technical excellence of Pace CCS as well as contributing to industry efforts such as the recently announced leadership of the Energy Institute CCS Corrosion Guidelines.

"Our engineering experience and expertise is our engine room," said Matt Healey, Chief Technical Officer, Pace CCS. "The CCS market is growing fast and our clients' needs are becoming more complex. Having Michael lead the business means I can put my full energy into making sure our technical offering stays ahead of that curve."

"CCS is a key solution to reducing industrial emissions. For it to scale to the necessary affordable and reliable size, multiple complex engineering challenges will need to be overcome," said Michael Foley, Interim CEO, Pace CCS. "I'm excited to join Matt Healey at Pace CCS, a company with a strong global reputation for CCS engineering excellence that is going to play an important role in helping our customers deliver the CCS growth necessary to meet society's needs for the Energy Transition."

The changes take effect immediately. Pace CCS remains headquartered in London and continues to serve clients across its global CCS portfolio.
