One Vision Housing now an affordable landlord in Cheshire
One Vision Housing (OVH), part of the Sovini Housing Group, is excited to reveal that they are now offering homes for affordable rent in Cheshire; at three new developments in Northwich, Middlewich and Nantwich.
The award-winning housing association already has nearly 13,000 properties across Merseyside; in Liverpool, Wirral and Sefton. And for the first time they are now a landlord in Cheshire.
OVH has purchased 35 properties in Cheshire, from Bellway and Barratt Homes, as part of a section 106 agreements. They comprise:
Longwood Park in Northwich – 10 x two-bedroom homes and 8 x three-bedroom homes
Oak Meadow in Middlewich - 17 x three-bedroom homes
Malbank Waters in Nantwich - 9 x one-bedroom apartments, 4 x two-bedroom and 10 x three-bedroom homes.
The affordable rent properties will be available to local people through the local choice-based letting schemes - Cheshire HomeChoice or Trust HomeChoice - from as little as £109 per week, with no deposit required.
OVH has also purchased an additional 38 three-bedroom homes at two of the locations, in Northwich and Middlewich; which will be new Shared Ownership Scheme; which gives people more affordable opportunities to get onto the property ladder.
Simon McGrory, Middlewich First Councillor for Cheshire East, said: "It's great to see a new social housing group provide much wanted affordable homes for local people.
“Although some residents objected to new development in general, I would hope that they agree; we must provide homes which families can afford to rent or buy. I look forward to welcoming One Vision Housing and the new home owners."
Just last year OVH secured a £40 million refinance deal to support their impressive development plan – delivering over 600 homes across Merseyside, Cheshire and West Lancashire between 2015 and 2018.
OVH Chief Executive, Roy Williams, said: “Having been a predominant landlord in Merseyside for nearly 10 years, we're excited to now be providing affordable homes which people in Cheshire can access, through their local choice-based letting schemes.
“We hope that the delivery of these quality homes will make a significant impact on the local housing shortages and on the regeneration of the North West."
