Leading fan manufacturer Nicotra Gebhardt has been registered as a CPD^ course provider by CIBSE (the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers).
The company’s accredited presentation is on energy saving considerations within the fan upgrade sector. Nicotra Gebhardt will give the presentation to a wide range of consultants, contractors and others with an interest in energy saving technology. CIBSE members who attend such presentations will be issued with an attendance certificate which will count towards their CIBSE CPD requirement
Greg Llewellyn, Nicotra Gebhardt Director & General Manager, UK & Ireland, said
“CIBSE’s accreditation of our CPD presentation is timely. There is an increasing trend towards air handling units being refurbished rather than being replaced – normally at a greatly reduced project cost, typically 40–50% of the full replacement cost.
Alongside this, up to 60% of the power consumption of the average commercial building is accounted for by HVAC equipment.
At a time of increasingly tight budgets and raised environmental awareness of the need for energy efficiency, we need to get these messages out to the marketplace.”
Nicotra Gebhardt’s leading product is the RQM MultiEvo compact fan. This beats every traditional plug fan on energy efficiency* thanks to the optimization of all key components, including a hollow section ‘aero-foil’ backward curve impeller, a permanent magnet (PM) internal rotor motor rated at IE5 efficiency and integrated electronic controls. The compactly designed RQM can be fitted with multiple access points for ease of maintenance and is ideal for both ‘new build’ and refurbishment / retrofit applications.
* Independently tested at ILK, Dresden to verify both the fan performance and its outstanding efficiency levels, the groundbreaking RQM has moved fan technology to the next level.
