News provided by SRI GURU SINGH SABHA SOUTHALL on Monday 3rd Oct 2022

The Panthic group is grateful to Guru Sahib and the Guru’s Sangat for the immense support they showed us in this weekend’s elections at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall. We are honoured to have been chosen so overwhelmingly to serve the Sabha and are humbled by the wide range of endorsements and congratulations that we have received.

The leads of Panthic group, S. Himmat Singh Sohi and S.Kulwant Singh Bhinder, received 2847 and 2915 votes respectively. Candidates from Panthic received between 2742 and 2928 votes, with the latter being the highest overall individual vote count attained by the General Secretary from the previous term, Harmeet Singh Gill. The Sher group received individual vote counts ranging from 1665 to 1891. The three independent candidates received 256, 258 and 297 votes respectively.

We at Panthic have pledged to work efficiently and diligently to improve the facilities available to the Sangat over the coming years. We look forward to working with everybody at Singh Sabha Southall and within the Panth for the betterment of our community and of wider society in keeping with the teachings of the House of Guru Nanak. To serve the Guru is the aim of every Sikh, and so to serve those who serve the Guru is a supreme privilege indeed. We ask Guru Sahib to continue to bless the Panth; on our journey to run the Gurdwara in a way that we can all be proud of.
