New CEO appointed for child exploitation charity, Pace

Pace (Parents Against Child Exploitation) has confirmed that Lindsay Dalton is to become CEO from 1 October.

Lindsay brings to her new role a wealth of experience supporting affected families and innovating how professionals support exploited children. In her previous role at Pace, as Head of Training, Lindsay used her expertise to develop the UK’s first professional qualification in Child Sexual Exploitation, enabling professionals to learn the necessary skills to support families affected by this complex form of abuse.

Speaking about her new role, Lindsay Dalton said:

“It is a privilege to lead a charity as exceptional and inspirational as Pace and an honour to continue working with our amazing team of staff, volunteers and parents. Pace has been leading the way for over 25 years in disrupting child exploitation and increasing awareness about the devastating impact it has for families. Child exploitation has no place in our society and only when we come together as communities with commitment and compassion can we keep children safe.”

Pace is a national charity that supports families affected by child exploitation. Pace protects and safeguards children from exploitation by empowering and supporting their parents, disrupting the offenders and working closely with the police and children’s social care services.

Lindsay started her career in the National Probation Service, before developing Pace’s partnerships with multi-agency teams working with families affected by exploitation. A strong advocate for family-centered practice, Lindsay has always championed her belief that the key to keeping children safe from exploitation is to closely support and advocate for their parents. Lindsay has developed a pioneering safeguarding model encapsulating this family-centred approach to keeping children safe from exploitation which is used by multi-agency teams across the UK.
