My Street Prints launches personalised wall art celebrating Britain’s meaningful places
We want to give photographers another way to earn from their local knowledge and creativity, while keeping ownership of their work.
New UK service turns photographs of favourite streets, homes and landmarks into prints—and offers photographers a way to earn from their local images.
READING, UK — My Street Prints has launched a personalised wall-art service helping people celebrate the places that have shaped their lives, from childhood streets and first homes to favourite holiday views and wedding venues.
Founded by Darren Seward, the Reading-based business brings together photographic prints, AI-styled artwork and personalisation through its website, mystreetprints.co.uk. Alongside the customer launch, it is inviting photographers across the UK to contribute images of the places they know best and earn from print sales.
The service centres on a simple idea: a place does not have to be a famous destination to mean something to the person putting it on their wall.
“Most people can name somewhere that brings back a particular memory,” said Darren. “It might be the road where they grew up, the place they met their partner or a seaside town their family returned to every summer. We wanted to make it possible to turn that connection into something personal for their home.”
From a photograph to a personalised print
Customers can upload their own photograph, explore available reference images or browse ready-designed prints featuring locations across Britain.
Photographs can be kept as photographic images or reinterpreted using AI in styles inspired by vintage railway posters, Art Deco and watercolour. Customers can add place names, dates and personal messages, then preview and approve their artwork before ordering.
The options allow prints to be created for occasions such as housewarmings, weddings and anniversaries, or as reminders of places people have moved away from. A photograph of a first home, for example, can be paired with a moving-in date, while a wedding venue can be personalised with the couple’s names.
For Darren, the idea is represented by a print of Tilehurst Water Tower hanging in his own home.
“It’s a familiar part of my local landscape, and seeing it as a finished print shows what the idea is about,” he said. “Somewhere that feels ordinary to one person can hold years of memories for someone else.”
An opportunity for local photographers
My Street Prints is also opening its contributor programme to photographers with original images of towns, villages, streets, landmarks and landscapes.
Approved photographs can be offered for sale as prints, with printing and delivery handled through the service. Contributors receive credit on their product pages and their own collection page showcasing their work.
Photographers retain copyright and participate on a non-exclusive basis, allowing them to continue selling their photographs elsewhere. They also decide whether to permit AI-styled versions of their images or offer them solely as photographic prints.
The programme pays contributors 30% of the amount remaining after printing, postage and payment fees. That share rises to 50% for qualifying sales of their photographs through their own referral link. The percentages apply to the amount after those specified costs, rather than the retail selling price.
“There are photographers who know exactly which view captures the character of their town or village,” Darren said. “We want to give them another way to earn from that local knowledge and creativity, while keeping ownership of their work and without having to organise print production and delivery themselves.”
The photographer programme complements the personalised service by helping build a collection of places seen through the eyes of people who know them.
My Street Prints offers poster, framed and canvas options, with prints made to order. Prices start at £26, with free UK standard delivery.
The website and print collections are available at https://www.mystreetprints.co.uk. Photographer programme information and the contributor agreement are available at https://www.mystreetprints.co.uk/pages/sell-your-photographs.
