Makes light work of complex tasks
Location, height, and distance can now be measured in XYZ from one location, in one measurement. It has never been easier to create as-built records of ceiling, floor, and roof surfaces; volumes; slopes; height differences; angles; and much more. The rugged, non-slip sensor can be placed on any stable surface or mounted on a tripod using the 5/8"-11 thread.
Robust and handheld
The Leica 3D Disto is controlled by a robust, hand-held unit or by remote control. Points are aimed at and measurements triggered on the clear, high-resolution screen and the 8x zoom is perfect for longer distances. The real-time display of measurements as drawings on the screen allows on-site completeness checks. At the press of a button data is recorded in standard tables, photos, DXF, and text files. It is so easy!
A whole host of functions and features
The room scan function allows the user to measure complex structures, measure complete rooms, walls, windows, structural connections or stairs all from only one station point, whilst the projector function gives users the ability to project ceiling grids or layouts for floors or walls onto any surface - point for point
The location function allows users to secure locations and then relocate to complete all measuring tasks and carry on with room to room measuring. The user can also come back at any time to complete the measuring task.
The tool kit allows the user to carry out a variety of measurements such as plumbing up and down, setting metre marks, measuring difficult heights, setting out parallel lines, referencing levels around a room and setting out measurement and fixing points.
CAD Tools simplify the post-processing work in the office CAD, because it is now possible to anticipate drawing completion in the field. It allows the user to capture inaccessible points by measuring surrounding points, speeding up the measurement process by reducing the need of taking manual notes or attempting to relocate for capturing a point directly.
The Surface Scan mode allows the user to capture three-dimensional structures or complex surfaces by defining a simple grid of points to be subsequently scanned. The DXF export automatically creates a new surface scan layer to display the surface results appropriately. Surface definition can be carried out by measuring the border, and is now possible on strictly horizontal or vertical planes using 2 points only.
