Professor Wang is Chair Professor of Artificial Intelligence in the School of Computing Sciences at the University of East Anglia and brings more than 25 years of experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing and applied data science. His appointment further strengthens Jacobs & Xu’s ability to help companies apply AI in practical, commercially useful ways across construction and property.

Professor Wang has published around 100 peer-reviewed papers and led more than 20 funded projects supported by UK Research and Innovation councils, Innovate UK, industry and charitable organisations. His work has been applied across sectors including healthcare, cyber security, insurance, environmental science, transport and construction. He has also served as an associate scientific adviser to Innovate UK and The Alan Turing Institute BridgeAI Programme.
