Groundwork BioAg’s Rootella® Mycorrhizal Inoculants Successfully Launched by Stoller Ukraine
Stoller Ukraine has built a customer base that is applying Rootella® this second consecutive year on row crops such as maize, soybean, and wheat.
MOSHAV MAZOR, ISRAEL and KIEV, UKRAINE – Groundwork BioAg, Ltd. and Stoller Ukraine are pleased to announce the successful commercial launch of Rootella® mycorrhizal inoculants in Ukraine. Rootella® products were registered for commercial use by the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food last year. Since then, Stoller Ukraine has built a customer base comprised of professional farms, cooperatives, and agro-holdings that are applying Rootella® this second consecutive year on row crops such as maize, soybean, wheat and sunflower. Additional products and crops are planned to be added next year.
One agro-holding treated maize with Rootella® F on a farm in the Chernihiv region, and improved yields over 9%, from 8.68 t/ha (untreated) to 9.50 t/ha (treated). A sunflower farmer in the Poltava region was happy to gain over 11% with Rootella® F (2.41 t/ha untreated to 2.68 t/ha treated). A large soybean grower in the Vinnytsia region reported a 36% yield increase – Rootella® S boosted his yield from 1.78 t/ha (untreated) to 2.42 t/ha (treated). All results are from large, commercial field plots, treated at recommended rates. Standard yield monitor data was cross-referenced with aerial photos and AI analysis provided by Sensilize, which showed increased nutrition and plant health benefits.
“Stoller Ukraine is Groundwork BioAg’s feet on the ground in Ukraine. We applaud their success in getting Rootella® swiftly registered and successfully launched,” states Dan Grotsky, VP Sales and Marketing at Groundwork BioAg. “Now that Ukrainian growers have tasted the benefits of high-quality mycorrhizal inoculants, we expect to ramp up sales rapidly in this new and important market.”
Nika Nasimov, Managing Director at Stoller Ukraine, adds, “We strategically sought an eco-friendly microbial product like Rootella® to complement our product portfolio. As a company that prides itself in its science-based approach, we were happy to see how Rootella® brings real value to our customers, in the form of yield increase, stress mitigation, and fertilizer savings. We see a bright future for Rootella® in Ukraine.”
