News provided by Global Ventilators Direct on Friday 10th Apr 2020

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

With the ongoing global Covid-19 crisis, survival of patients infected with the Covid-19 virus depends on the availability of medical ventilators. Global demand for ventilators has just reached 1 million machines that will be required to satisfy the basic requirement of affected countries (https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/09/chinese-ventilators-global-demand-177078). Due to this peak demand, existing manufacturing capacity is fully booked months in advance and various new entrants are attempting to enter the market with untested, unproven, and dangerous devices that put patients' lives at risk. There is an immediate, urgent need for high quality, fully certified medical equipment to minimize the death rate of Covid-19 patients.

Global Ventilators Direct (“GVD”) is supplying ventilators from leading global medical device manufacturers, such as Medtronic (https://www.medtronic.com), Allied Medical (https://www.alliedmed.co.in) and Draeger (https://www.draeger.com) to ensure that we can provide the maximum number of ventilators possible to customers globally. At the moment, we are in discussions with various countries about supporting them through the crisis, with demand, urgency and desperation increasing on an hourly basis. We understand that this is a critical time and some governments are still struggling more than others to acquire ventilators, while public pressure is building up constantly. But rest assured, ventilators are available, and we aim to deliver them within the timeframe that is required.

For example, GVD currently has an inventory of over 5,000 Allied Medical emergency ventilators, which are being used in 100s of hospitals, ready to be shipped immediately. Allied Medical has over 37 years of experience in manufacturing critical care equipment. All products are easy to use, require only limited training for medical staff, and have already been supplied to hospitals and healthcare network in the United States, Europe, and various other countries. Over the coming weeks we will have additional hundreds of machines becoming available on an ongoing basis.

GVD has experience in dealing with governments on a global basis and is able to ship items with 24 hours. We are committed to help and support governments during this Covid-19 crisis in their crucial task of protecting their population.
