Leader in Refurbished Technology Expanding in the UK
Braintree, Essex, UK (18th June 2021) – Global Resale, Ltd., an industry leader in IT refurbishment and resale – is hosting an opening day with Ministerial Visit from Paul Scully, Business Minister (BEIS), to celebrate the opening of its brand-new European Centre of Excellence and recent Queen’s Award for Enterprise in April 2021.
Formed in February 2016 with just three people, Global Resale’s European business has expanded rapidly and now employs almost 100 people and has had an impressive 77% year on year growth over the last three years. In 2020 their European team sold over 2.2 million computers, mobility, and enterprise products into international markets.
Global Resale sources used and leased technology hardware from large organisations. Once returned to one of our processing centres, data is securely removed, equipment is tested and refurbished for sales to customers around the world. This means people can affordably buy refurbished IT, get connected and importantly avoid landfill.
The company has continued its expansion plan with over 1 million pounds invested for the purpose-designed refurbishment operational facility. The purpose designed technology refurbishment centre of excellence, demonstrating a commitment to the future growth of European business and international trade alike. The new 64,000 sqft facility will allow the company to continue its rapid growth as well as provide additional services for its many European and international customers.
In March 2020, Global Resale completed the acquisition of CFA Trading Limited, Europe’s largest Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher, an innovative specialist in the repair and refurbishment of computers to further enhance its service offerings to support customers.
Ministerial Visit
The ministerial visit by Paul Scully, Business Minister is to officially open Global Resale’s UK Centre of Excellence for the refurbishment of used technology in front of employees and invited virtual guests from around the world.
