G Adventures experiences huge growth in Colombia
- Growth supported by ProColombia partnership and 15% discount –
G Adventures' expanded 2015 Colombia programme has resulted in the small-group adventure operator reporting 520 per cent growth year-on-year, between January and July.
G Adventures introduced nine new trips in 2015, representing a 475% in departures in Colombia. To support this rapid growth, the operator has partnered with ProColombia, Colombia's official government agency promoting exports, investment and tourism, to offer savings of 15% on its collection of Colombia trips during July.
"Colombia is the next big thing in South America right now, and we're particularly excited about the launch of the lesser-known Lost City Trek," says Brian Young, managing director, G Adventures.
"There really is something for everyone in Colombia with our new programme, trip options include cultural highlights, big cities, rural villages, northern indigenous culture, Caribbean landscapes and active trekking trips," says Young.
New Colombia itineraries for 2015 include:
· Colombia – Lost City Trekking – A seven-day trip climbing 1,200 steps to reach the Lost City of Teyuna enjoying spectacular jungle scenery along the way, swimming in the cool Buritaca River and watching hummingbirds in the trees from the comfort of a hammock, is priced from £499pp for year-round departures.
· Caribbean Colombia Express – An eight-day trip hiking through lush jungle with an indigenous guide, meeting locals and learning about coffee in Minca, indulging in fresh seafood and Colombian specialties, and relaxing to the Caribbean rhythms on the coast, is priced from £949pp for year-round departures.
