From Live Aid to Animal Aid: Wiltshire Musicians Bring the Power of Music Back to the Frontline

News provided by International Animal Rescue UK on Tuesday 2nd Dec 2025

Forty years ago, Live Aid showed the world that music could be a force for change, uniting millions and raising awareness for a global cause. Now, in that same spirit, artists are stepping forward to make a difference once again.

On 8th January 2026, Wiltshire-based band 'Littlemen' will headline a special one-night-only benefit concert at Komedia Bath, with support from Life In Mono and The Pinkertons. All proceeds from the event will go to International Animal Rescue (IAR), an organisation working to protect animals from suffering and extinction across the globe.

Littlemen return to the stage with a powerful new lineup and renewed purpose. Longtime writer Nick Allen will take the spotlight as lead vocalist, joined by celebrated drummer and Producer Rob Brian (Peter Gabriel, Siouxsie Sioux), Keys Mark Jones, lead guitarist & Rhythm Guitar Zac Ware, bassist Flash Gordan, Jo Nye Backing and Lead Vocals.

Littlemen's sound combines emotive lyrics, rich instrumentation, and bold musical storytelling.

Talking about the event, Nick Allen from Littlemen said: "Live Aid proved music can inspire people to come together and achieve an incredible impact for a good cause. Forty years on, we're using that same spirit to highlight another urgent cause; animals who can't speak for themselves. We hope this night raises the much-needed funds and awareness for the vital work of International Animal Rescue."

IAR not only saves animals from suffering but also rehabilitates and releases them back into the wild and works to protect their precious natural habitats. IAR's work includes cutting free and caring for captive bears in India and Armenia, rescuing and rehabilitating orangutans and other primates in Indonesia and treating injured and orphaned howler monkeys in Costa Rica. Wherever possible, wildlife is rehabilitated and returned to the wild. For animals that are not viable for release, sanctuary care is provided. Reintroducing rare and endangered species back into the wild supports populations that could otherwise become unviable.

Opening the night and supporting Littlemen are Life In Mono and The Pinkertons. All the acts taking part are generously giving their time for free.

Nick adds: "Komedia is one of my favourite live venues, and to share the stage with take to the stage with Littlemen. Music has always had the power to connect and uplift, and this event is about doing both."

Jeanette Campbell, Community Fundraising Manager at International Animal Rescue, says: "This concert is a celebration of music's ability to create real change. We are so thankful for the support of Littlemen and everyone involved for generously giving up their time for free to help us raise awareness and essential funds for IAR while delivering a night of unforgettable performances."
