Final week for 2017 Soldiering On Awards nominations

All nominees who reach the Category Finalists stage and their nominator will be invited to a reception at the House of Lords in February 2017.

LONDON - The time for nominating well-deserving candidates for the 2017 Soldiering On Awards is coming to a close. Nominations honouring individuals or organisations who have made inspirational and outstanding achievements in support of the Armed Forces Community are being accepted through midnight on Friday, 30 September 2016.

The online submission process can be found via the Soldiering On Awards website at www.soldieringon.org/nominations.

All nominees who reach the Category Finalists stage and their nominator will be invited to a reception at the House of Lords in February 2017. The final roll call of Award Winners will be announced at the seventh annual 2017 Soldiering On Awards black tie dinner and Awards ceremony at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge on the 24^th March 2017.

This year the Soldiering On Awards are pleased that General the Lord Dannatt and Debra Allcock-Tyler, CEO of the Directory of Social Change, have once again agreed to co-chair the independent Judging Panel.

In addition to selecting the finalists for the nine Award categories for which nominations are invited, the Judging Panel will put forward five or six candidates for the People’s Choice Award, these being selected by the Panel from among all the finalists for the other Awards. The winner of the People’s Choice Award is whoever among these five or six tops the public vote.

Soldiering On Through Life Trust was established as a not-for-profit organisation to encourage support for the UK’s Armed Forces Community by nationally recognising the achievements of groups or individuals supporting this Community, via the annual Soldiering On Awards.
