Electric car engineer to launch new KwikPro trade power tools on Kickstarter

News provided by Power Tool Systems Limited on Tuesday 2nd Apr 2019

An EV engineer is aiming to revolutionise the way professional tradespeople work with the launch of KwiKpro, an innovative new power tool product. The new KwikPro system is launching on Kickstarter.com later this month as part of a crowdfunding campaign targeting a global audience. www.KwikProTool.com

Just as Tesla is leading modernisation in the car business, KwikPro plans to do the same in the power tool world. The cordless KwikPro system is uniquely versatile and the first to offer a full range of professional-grade 18-volt power tools in one convenient case. It is light, easy to use, and extremely portable, allowing faster working times with easy access to a full set of power tools.

“The new technology behind KwikPro is aiming to revolutionise the power tool industry. KwikPro backers will have the opportunity to be in at the start of much-needed innovation which aims to shake up the market and give the existing players lots to think about,” says Robert Fowler, founder of Power Tool Systems.

Fowler has pioneered the KwikPro system’s exclusive SlideDrive™ technology which saves space and weight. Each KwikPro set will feature cordless motor handles and a full range of tool heads, plus a dedicated tool belt for safe, hands-free carrying. One version of the KwikPro will also offer remote control, a further unique innovation for working in difficult to access places.

Fowler has enjoyed a successful and diverse career in engineering working on leading edge technologies from hovercraft to electric vehicles. He developed his own design of electric cars and has converted conventional cars to EVs, way ahead of governments and car manufacturers who, at the time, did not believe that electric cars could be viable or commercially successful.

Fowler is using his engineering expertise and vision to spot the potential for a market to attract crowdfunding for his new pioneering power tools. He consults on “all things EV” and has extensive experience of battery powered engineering, knowledge that he has put to good use during the development of the KwikPro system.

The KwikPro system is designed to streamline the way trade professionals work, as Fowler explains; “Shifting loads of power tools in separate cases to different job sites is very inefficient, it wastes time, energy and money, and can also increase the danger of accidents and injuries. KwikPro sets are practical one-case solutions where professionals can easily take all the tools they need for a job with them instead of leaving them in their vehicles where they can often be vulnerable to theft.”

KwikPro systems will be available in sets which will feature high-performance 18-volt motor-handles powered by lithium batteries and a selection of interchangeable tool heads. The handles, heads and batteries slide together to create a full range of professional-grade power tools, including: unique two-way drills, drivers, a grinder, saws and a multi-tool.

Three KwikPro sets will be offered as exciting Kickstarter rewards at enticing prices: Gold Diamond with 2 remote control motor-handles and 10 tool heads; Gold with 2 motor handles and 10 tool heads; and Silver with 1 motor handle and 5 tool heads.

Power Tool Systems plans to offer KwikPro sets for pre-order on Kickstarter.com mid-April 2019. Visit KwikProTools.com for more details.
