CN Respiratory Solutions Ltd announces UK patent grant for innovative respiratory treatment technology

CN Respiratory Solutions Ltd has been granted UK Patent GB2642565 for an innovative respiratory technology that allows nebulised medication and controlled oxygen delivery to be administered together through a single treatment device.

The patent describes a novel fluid-mixing connector that combines a nebuliser with a Venturi oxygen-delivery device, enabling the two therapies to be delivered concurrently. The technology is designed to work with established respiratory equipment, including standard nebulisers and commonly available oxygen delivery masks.

It addresses a practical challenge in respiratory care: giving patient's nebulised treatment while also maintaining controlled or fixed-rate oxygen delivery — currently difficult to achieve simultaneously with existing equipment.

Product development underway

The grant of the patent is an important milestone for CN Respiratory Solutions as development of the technology towards a commercial medical device continues. Progress to commercialisation is well underway in partnership with a well-known, motivated, and reputable medical device manufacturer.

Exact numbers of A&E attendances worldwide are difficult to determine, but are believe to be in the region of tens of millions. (279 attendances per 100,000 population/year in USA ratioed up to world population of 8.3 billion gives a number of approximately 25 million)

The patented technology has been designed around established treatment regimens, allowing it to complement existing equipment rather than requiring an entirely new oxygen-delivery platform. The approach is aimed to allow rapid commercialisation and development.
