Coaching Outdoors
The EMCC Global awards selection panel awarded Coaching Outdoors as an organisation for combinging their two passions of coaching and the outdoors into two innovative and inspiring programmes (interactive and online) which are an impactful and effective way for coaches to reconnect with the natural world. As Coaches they can create truly positive impact around the human response to the ever evolving climate and biodiversity crises - and Coaching outdoors seems to catalyse just that. The programmes also support the coaches development as well as that of their clients, whilst strengthening their relationship with nature, something that's been a 'life-saver' for many during the pandemic.
On receiving news of the award, Lesley Roberst who is the founder of Coaching Outdoors and is an EMCC accredited individual coach at Senior Practitioner, said ‘It is an honour to receive this EMCC award for the Coaching Outdoors training programmes. I am very proud of the programmes and their important contribution to the world of coaching for the coach, coachee and the planet. This award is a testament to the hard work that has been put into making these accessible programmes both developmental for coaches professional practice, and for developing their relationship with the environment. I am very grateful to everyone that nominated our work.’
Grant Thornton International
The EMCC Global awards selection panel awarded Grant Thornton International as an organisation that has embraced EMCC’s quality standards and accreditation and celebrates the professional development of its employees thus creating a coaching culture within its global calibre. Grant Thornton International strives to create a coaching culture throughout the organisation through the EMCC Global Accredited Coach Programme.
Grant Thornton International is the world’s sixth-largest professional services network of independent accounting and consulting member firms and provides assurance, tax and advisory services to privately held businesses, public interest entities, and public sector entities. With more than 56,000 people in over 140 countries, they are a truly global organisation with huge reach. Their vision is to create a global coaching culture within their organisation. This was accelerated in 2020 with the reimagining of their Exceptional Coach Programme (which is accredited by EMCC and has EMCC individual accreditation embedded into it) to be 100% online. This global and premium programme is designed to complement participants’ technical skills to enhance agility with talent, teams, and clients. They offer a suite of coach development programmes throughout the organisation e.g. 100% online Manager as Coach. In 2020 they successfully activated four regional cohorts across the globe in Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific, along with in-country cohorts. They currently have hundreds of partners, senior leaders, and people managers coaching within member firms and on cross border client engagements. They have a strong emphasis on wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion in supporting their people to be their best. In 2021 their goal is to expand coaching throughout the network and to develop new initiatives for continuous professional development for their coaching alumni.

Ekktaa Daithankar
The EMCC Global awards selection panel awarded Ekktaa Daithankar as a coach that has contributed significantly to raising awareness around emotional and mental health through group coaching. This is creating a positive impact through coaching globally, especially during the pandemic, when the need was greatest, by providing a platform for people to have open conversations around these issues. She is an inspiration to those who work with her or who have benefitted from her initiatives. She is promoting the democratisation of coaching, something paramount in our days.
A Spiritual Coach by profession, Ekktaa Daithankar is a philanthropist at heart with a constant commitment to raising the potential of others. Ekktaa loves to bring a positive transformation in people through her wide range of skills. She offers coaching to various groups of people particularly the LGBT group and has a strong focus on women empowerment. A graduate of Mumbai University with an MBA in HR, Ekktaa is an EMCC accredited coach at Master Practitioner level with an advanced Diploma in Counseling. She has won several international awards including the Spiritual Coach of the Year award (2018) by the World HRD Congress and also ranked at the 24th position in India in the year 2018. She is also the founder of EKOHUMM established to promote a holistic approach to life.

Susana Fernandez Casla
The EMCC Global awards selection panel awarded Susana Fernandez Casla as a coach who’s story gives hope to people with passion, confidence, devotion and loyalty towards her work. She empowers people with her story and her practice and contribution in the coaching space. Susana works for corporate and public institutions, as well as non-profit organisations, combining her experience in business with a strong background in the third sector making her a unique and extraordinary coaching professional.
Susana, is founder and managingdDirector of ESCOACHING is a Psychologist, with Postgraduate and PhD studies in Social Psychology and is a visiting professor at university programmes. Her expertise combines an exceptional management of the effective coaching practice following EMCC standards with a deep knowledge of psychology, team dynamics, organisational strategy, change management, people-centered tech solutions, and an extraordinary sensitivity and a love for making her clients grow.
‘2020 has been one of the most challenging years for all of us. Coaching has played a key role in society in helping and supporting others to maintain balance, to build healthy routines, and to manage uncertainty and wellbeing both at a personal and professional level. It is a huge honor for me to receive the EMCC 2020 Global Coaching Award for my work and contribution. Joanne Wheatley
The EMCC Global awards selection panel awarded Joanne Wheatley as a coach recognised for the inspiration she brings to her clients and who has had a significant impact on them professionally and personally. She is passionate about coaching and is described as authentic, caring, honest, and attentive - someone who goes 'above and beyond' for her clients.
Jo is and EMCC accredited coach at Master Practitioner level and also a coach trainer and qualified coaching supervisor. Jo is the co-founder of In Good Company, a global coaching training provider designed to support people wanting to transition into a coaching career or to develop coaching skills to use in their leadership roles. Jo co-founded The Coaching Crowd group on Facebook with her business partner and fellow coach Zoe Hawkins. It is a free group for aspiring and current coaches to learn and grow as compassionate leaders, sharing coaching resources and weekly coaching demos. Her ethos is to make coaching training accessible to as many people as possible and help to remove barriers to it. Jo’s global coach training programme’s area accredited by EMCC at Senior Practitioner level and are also accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management.

I hope that receiving this award will inspire the trainee coaches that are on our coaching programmes and also all those who are thinking about transitioning careers as my career as a coach has been so rewarding professionally and personally.
