2 Hour Motivational Workshop: Meraki Rose Reveals the 10 traits of great leaders
If a job is worth doing, it's worth doing properly.
Sales and marketing company, Meraki Rose pride themselves on their ability to motivate their team and develop their skill sets. Recently, the firm hosted a series of motivational workshops on the 10 traits of great leaders and how it is often important to revisit old skills.
In a series of motivational meetings, Meraki Rose has taught their crew the importance of 'going back to basics'. The firm believes that it is incredibly important not to become lazy and lose track of the skills originally learnt in order to find quicker ways of doing things. "If a job is worth doing, it's worth doing properly," points out Meraki Rose. The sales and marketing crew believe that it is vital to revisit and refresh the skill sets originally learnt to help achieve success by always applying basic business techniques.

Last week's intense, motivational workshop saw Meraki Rose focus on the transferable traits of great leaders and the top 10 traits that every great leader must possess:
- 1. Persistence
Meraki Rose believe that all great leaders have learnt how to be persistent. "If one idea doesn't work, you pick yourself back up and try again until you find something that does work," highlights the firm. - 2. Thick Skin
Meraki Rose believes that leaders must have rhino-thick skin. "There will always be people who don't support your ideas, or don't think you can do it. Don't let them put you down, prove them wrong," says the firm. For example, Walt Disney's editor at the Kansas City Star told him that he had no good ideas and lacked imagination. Walt Disney went on to become the most successful animator of all time. - 3. An eye for talent
Great leaders surround themselves with other great minds. Meraki Rose believes that leaders should always be on the hunt for talent and potential employees. - 4. Can't get no satisfaction
Great business leaders are never satisfied and continually strive to take their business to the next level. Meraki Rose believe the famous quote from Ingvar Kamprad, founder of IKEA, is a huge inspiration here, "The most dangerous poison is the feeling of achievement. The antidote is to every evening think what can be done better tomorrow." - 5. Fearlessness
Famous entrepreneur, Richard Branson once said: "You don't learn to walk by following rules. You learn by doing, and by falling over." Meraki Rose believes that all great leaders are not afraid to take risks. They are prepared to step out of their comfort zone for the good of the business. - 6. Owning your mistakes
Leaders make mistakes, it's only human but there is no use in passing the buck, believes Meraki Rose. Customers and employees will have more respect for the leader if they own up to their mistakes, apologise and try to put it right. - 7. Toughness
"If you want to lead in the business world, you're going to have to stand up for yourself," believes Meraki Rose. In the business world, it's dog-eat-dog and you occasionally have to throw some elbows. - 8. Making friends and influencing people
However, Meraki Rose advises not to take the tough act too far. People work better for managers that they like. - 9. Singular vision
Meraki Rose believes that to succeed you must have an idea, dream big and then dream bigger. "To be a successful leader you must see what other people don't see and pursue that vision," says the firm. - 10. Powerfully passionate
Above all, a true leader is passionate about whatever venture they are undertaking. "If you're not passionate enough, you won't stick it out," highlights Meraki Rose.
