Wildcat rebrands to focus on cyber security and IT services
Jane was able to come on board quickly and gain a clear understanding of the kind of person we were looking for.
Wildcat Careers, the independent career consultancy, will rebrand as the “go-to solution for cyber security and IT support talent” for businesses in Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and London.
Over the past 12 months, Wildcat Careers has cemented its status as a leading provider of candidates for small to medium-sized businesses seeking new employees. However, with increased cyber-attacks on companies and organisations, it became apparent that it needed to realign to meet the increasing demand for highly skilled IT professionals.
The company now focuses on recruiting first, second and third-line support IT professionals, cyber security consultants and graduates with cyber security degrees. It also provides exclusive access to lesser-known candidate pools, including highly qualified IT professionals not registered elsewhere.
The company’s founder Jane Matthews said: “With over 20 years of experience in IT and cyber security recruitment, it was natural for us to make this move because we know what it takes to succeed in the sector. Our winning formula is that we don’t believe in a one size fits all approach to recruitment.
“We understand the challenges companies face when trying to attract top talent. We work closely with our clients to ensure the right hire each time. Our success with companies like Moore ClearComm is a clear example of the effectiveness of this approach.”
Moore ClearComm, a leading firm of accountants and business advisors that offers a range of data privacy, cyber security, business continuity and information security services to organisations, desperately needed a junior cybersecurity consultant. The company turned to Jane Matthews at Wildcat Careers because, as they deal with sensitive information on a daily basis, it was crucial to find the right person.
Jane worked closely with the company’s cyber services director and team to filter candidates, saving time and resources. She implemented various assessments, crafted the job description. created job adverts for different job boards, and designed the interview and screening processes.
Jane’s collaborative work resulted in the company hiring the ideal person for the role. Moore ClearComm’s Director of Cyber Services said: “We were looking to hire a Junior cyber security consultant, but our own efforts on LinkedIn had yielded no results. Jane was able to come on board quickly and gain a clear understanding of the kind of person we were looking for.
“Before we knew it, she had created a job advert, posted it in the right places and searched her own pool of candidates to find us a shortlist of qualified candidates. After a round of interviews, which Jane supported us through, we hired a fantastic new consultant who has proven to be a great fit for the company. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Jane in the future or recommend her to others.”
In 2022, Wildcat Careers was nominated for several industry awards. It won the SME Recruitment Specialist of the Year at the Corporate Livewire Global Awards 2022/23 and Best Independent Career Consultant 2022 at the Corporate Vision Corporate Coaching and Recruitment Awards 2022.
Wildcat Careers also provides career coaching for job seekers and outplacement service support for company employees. For more information about the full range services provided by Wildcat Careers, visit www.wildcatcareers.co.uk
