Geoffrey Kondogbia is the latest international footballer to take part in the Shoot For Love football-archery challenge. The Inter Milan midfielder was excited to compete against fellow participants at the Inter Milan training ground and raise vital funds for children with cancer.
Participants in the Shoot For Love challenge take 10 shots at the target on a giant archery board from 10 metres away. On the target, the bull's eye is worth 10 points, and then the points reduce as the distance from the bull's eye increases. For every point scored, sponsors such as PlayDog Soft, make a generous donation to the Korean Association for Children with Leukemia and Cancer to help children with cancer.
Geoffrey quickly warmed to the challenge after several practice shots, hitting the bulls eye and finishing with a respectable final score.
Patrice Evra recently shot to the top of the leaderboard, knocking down John Terry and Jonjo Shelvey into joint 2nd position.
The global challenge is set to continue after Geoffrey nominated Paul Pogba, Mario Lemina and Lucas Digne to take part in the challenge. Evra also nominated Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs and Paul Pogba, who are yet to take up the challenge.
Jun Kim, Director of the Shoot For Love Challenge, said, 'We would like to express deep gratitude to Kondogbia for allowing us with a valuable time to help the children fighting cancer. He and his agents had been one of the nicest and the most entertaining people we've ever encountered.'
'The campaign has already attracted football royalty from around the world, with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, Spanish legends Carles Puyol and Raul Gonzalez, Ricardo Kakà, Chelsea F.C. captain, John Terry, New York City FC midfielder Frank Lampard, Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane, PSV Eindhoven manager Phillip Cocu, Patrice Evra and many others raising funds for children with cancer.'
The Shoot For Love campaign is organised by Be Kind and the Korean Association for Children with Leukemia and Cancer. Since May, the challenge has attracted large international public attention and raised over $200,000.
