Volunteers needed for new St Andrew's Hospice store

St Andrew’s Hospice in Grimsby is placing a call-out for volunteers at its new retail store on Bradley Cross Roads in the town.
The new shop is due to open soon but the hospice needs volunteers to help support the existing team at the store.
Head of Retail Tom Ryan visited the site and spoke about the different volunteer openings available.
He said: “Our shop managers and all of our volunteers do such a wonderful job for us and we would be delighted to hear from anyone who wishes to join our expanding team.
“We have a number of volunteer opportunities in our new shop in particular, so if you like the sound of a role as deputy shop manager, shop assistant, window dresser, treasure hunter, book worm or you simply have a passion for fashion, please do get in touch with us.”
Volunteering can be a confidence and career-boosting move. Shona O’Reilly, 19, volunteers at the St Andrew’s Hospice children’s shop on Cromwell Road in Grimsby and she spoke of how it has helped her.
She said: “I came out of college and could not get a job.
“Realising I needed some experience, I started working here and it has been brilliant.
“After just a week, I had gained so much more confidence and it is helping me a lot.”
