News provided by Centre for Contemporary Art Derry~Londonderry on Wednesday 24th Feb 2021

CCA is delighted to announce the names of the artists selected for the 2021 edition of URGENCIES. Following an open call for emerging artists working in or with a connection to our region, the exhibition presents a snapshot of some of the many concerns and topics featuring in contemporary practice. These include questions of care, identity, mental health, borders, environment, labour and the effects of global crises.

The URGENCIES (2021) artists are:

Martin Boyle, Bryony Dunne, Brian Farrell, Edy Fung, Kathryn Graham, Michael Hanna, Patrick Hickey, Siobhán Kelly, Lucie McLaughlin, Christopher Steenson, Frank Wasser.

The artists were selected by Artist Locky Morris and CCA Director Catherine Hemelryk and the project will be presented offsite across our city later this year. Keep an eye on CCA’s social media (@CCADLD) and website for updates.
