The UniLift app helps students save money by allowing users to share the cost of travel. It also facilitates a sociable travel experience and promotes an eco-friendly, sustainable travel solution. Rides are already available to Nottingham students with additional U.K. locations being rolled out through 2018.

UniLift was born from the idea of not only ‘carpooling’ or ‘ridesharing’ with your peers but also meeting new people, sharing experiences and creating lasting memories of your student days. With safety at its forefront, the app includes features such as driving license verification, real-time tracking and feedback systems. Profile verification via university .ac.uk email addresses ensures only students can sign up to the service. Users are also provided with a ‘student-service’ WhatsApp number to help answer questions speedily and efficiently.

UniLift offers ‘travel seats’ to students which are on average 15x cheaper than taxis and 5x cheaper than trains. 24 year old Nottingham founder Roshan Sood…: “I was inspired during my year abroad when I was saving money on travel whilst meeting amazing, like-minded people. It struck me that reliable ridesharing services weren’t as easily available in the U.K.as they are in Europe.’’
