UK Cannabis Company Further Expands Its CBD Extraction Operations into Mainland Europe

Lisbon, Portugal: British Cannabis® the largest producer, manufacturer, and distributor of legal cannabis-derived products in the UK, today announced the signing of an agreement for the purchase and development of a 10,750 sq. ft. cannabis extraction facility near Lisbon, Portugal. The new site is located alongside their privately-owned cannabis growing facility

From their labs in the UK, British Cannabis® is the research, development and production force behind the leading consumer CBD food supplement range of the past 4 years in the UK pharmacy sector - Canabidol®.

As the only company in England with expert knowledge and experience in extracting the legal CBD cannabinoid from 100% EU-certified Cannabis Sativa L. hemp crop for commercial use, British Cannabis® can oversee the complete supply chain within the booming CBD supplement industry.

British Cannabis® and Canabidol® CEO, Tom Whettem, commented on the news by saying “The excitement and potential for the company could not be higher at present. This dedication to quality was recently recognised with an award won for the company’s proprietary 75% CBD Distillate, in the ‘Best Extract’ category of the 2019 Hemp & CBD Expo industry awards - the same CBD extract that appears in the Canabidol® range of pharmacy-quality supplements.

The new Portuguese facility, once operational, will replicate the industry-leading research and production capability British Cannabis® has gained over recent years, but on a larger scale, by Q1 of 2020.
