Flambards in Cornwall is the perfect destination for an unforgettable family day out with its fun mix of exhibitions, rides, attractions and entertainment. We have put together our Top 10 things to do and discover at Flambards this summer.

1. Try Flambards' new ride this summer! The Sky Swinger is the biggest of its kind in Europe and reaches up to 13m into the air at speeds of 70kph. Perfect for an adrenaline rush.

2. Thrillseekers will love discovering the Big Ride Zone at Flambards. Reach dizzying heights on the Skyraker, twist and turn on the Hornet Rollercoaster and discover exciting views on the Thunderbolt.

3. Finish off a lovely summer's eve with Flambards iconic fireworks. On Wednesdays 12, 19 & 26 August the theme park's sky will be lit by a spectacular fireworks display, perfect for all the family to enjoy.

4. Travel through time in the Victorian Village. Stroll through the cobbled streets and explore a Victorian home, peek into the dairy, visit the Pheasant pub and the Flambards fire station. With over 50 authentic scenes there's so much of Victorian life to discover.

5. Dare to slide down Cornwall's biggest drop slide, the infamous Flambards Demon Drop! Plus Test your agility and skill on the Flambards assault course. With slides, balancing beams, tunnels and zip wires, this is a fantastic playground for children wanting to burn off lots of energy.

6. Perfect for the younger members of the family, Ferdi's Funland is jam-packed with rides and entertainment just waiting to be discovered. From Tea Cups to a Pirate Ship, riding the Cornwall Eye and visiting Gus Honeybun there's lots to keep little ones happy.

7. If the sun hasn't quite got his hat on, it's time for some indoor fun! Discover the Exploratorium and indoor play zone at Flambards. With fascinating science, quirky mirrors and hands-on interactive experiences there's something for all the family to enjoy.

8. Explore the life-size street and experience life on the Home Front in Britain in the Blitz Exhibition. Be transported back to the 1940s by the deafening sound of air raid sirens and literally feel the floor shake as another bomb hits the target. Peep into an authentic air raid shelter and other scenes from wartime Britain.

9. Discover the story of William White's Chemist Shop time capsule. Forgotten since 1909, the shop was untouched for more than 100 years before being transported lock, stock and cobwebs to Flambards. See original medicine bottles, apothecary jars, quartz carboys, demijohns, pill dispensers and mortars and pestles.

10. Finally don't miss the daily entertainment programme this summer. With the Big Dance Co taking their dance crew onto the stage, a Creepy Crawly Show and grub eating challenge as well as the Flambards Magic Show and much more. Join Ferdi the Fox in some fun entertainment and don't' forget to grab a Ferdi the Fox selfie!

All rides and attractions are open daily throughout July and August and, in the unlikely event the great British summer doesn't quite live up to expectations, there are all the amazing indoor exhibitions to discover too.
