The Very First Charity Bar Launched

News provided by Pressat Wire on Tuesday 11th Feb 2014

Pilgrim Bandits, the charity that pushes injured service men and women 'always a little further' has launched its own range of Charity Bar flapjacks.

The bold move is the brain child of one of the Charity's trustees, a fulltime Police Sargent, who worked tirelessly on the project in his spare time. Sargent Isherwood explains, "I wanted to create a product that would deliver a return for the Charity for years to come. Our hope is to sell them through our area fundraisers but also to break into the grocery and hospitality trades."

The Charity Bar is believed to be the first of its kind with early interest from sports clubs, pubs and independent high street stores. The new Charity Bars can be ordered via www.pilgrimbandits.org a box of 25 bars in a choice of 3 flavours; original, bakewell and fudge. Mixed boxes are also available. Suggested retail prices are from £1.00 for a large 110g bar.

Pilgrim Bandits', is based in the New Forest but has a growing profile nationally and internationally. Patrons include Duncan Bannatyne OBE and Ben Parkinson MBE. The charity challenges amputees from all the forces by pulling together extremely arduous expeditions and then sharing their experiences with underprivileged children and young people.
