To celebrate The National Lottery Open Week 2024, Head2Head Sensory Theatre, Oxted Surrey will be inviting the local community to come and see inside its new space on Wednesday 18 March 2025, 9.30am - 5pm.

The Barn Hub received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund in 2024 to complete its refurbishment which includes a Memory Cafe for people living with Demetia, a kitchen, a Sensory Room and an interactive projection system.

Anni Rhodes Steere, founder of Head2Head Sensory Theatre said; “It’s a mark of our appreciation to open our doors for everyone to come and meet our volunteers, find out more about our productions and experience our new sensory room and Interactive Magic Carpet.”

This unique community project has already made a positive impact on the lives of Head2Head’s primary beneficiaries: young people with disabilities and adults living with dementia, with regular drama and drumming workshops, live performances and a monthly Memory Cafe.

Guests will have the chance to drop in between 9.30am and 5pm, enjoy free refreshments and discover what makes The Barn Hub special thanks to National Lottery Funding.

The Barn Hub will be one of over 500 National Lottery-funded venues across the UK opening their doors to say a heartfelt thank you to players. Every week, National Lottery players raise an incredible £30 million for Good Causes, supporting arts, heritage, sports, and community projects across the country.

The Barn Hub is a new accessible community space in Oxted, Surrey, ideal for live productions, group and club meetings, health and wellbeing classes and community events.

The spacious well-lit studio offers staging and ramp, perfect for hosting parties and celebrations. Facilities include a full kitchen and cafe area with tables and chairs and a Sensory Room for quiet sensory exploration. With 11 on-site parking spaces, the venue offers wheelchair access complete with a Changing Places Disability Toilet.
