The Annual Racing Welfare Carol Concert returns to Tattersalls on 9th December 2015

News provided by Racing Welfare on Tuesday 24th Nov 2015

This year, the line-up of readers is an all-star cast. The compere for the evening is Derek (Tommo) Thompson and readers include racehorse trainer Jeremy Noseda; Newmarket Mayor, John Berry and Tattersalls Director, Jimmy George.

Racing Welfare's carol concert is a volunteer-led event organised by a committee of dedicated Racing Welfare supporters. The committee, consisting of Leigh Hall, Dr Lynda Brereton (Head of Fairstead House School), Anna Hanagan, Anya Kothari, Belinda Drummond and Simon Bailey ( Chaplain to the Horseracing Industry), have planned a memorable festive celebration.

Simon Bailey said “This is my second Racing Welfare Carol Concert; last year was a great festive event and this year promises to be another superb occasion at which to sing along, dance along and have a great time! All proceeds for this event go to the Chaplaincy service which works with and alongside Racing Welfare, whom I would like to thank for their continued support and partnership.”

The grand finale, like in 2014, will feature donkeys from Gate and West Farm, Bury St. Edmunds, who will be available for children to meet and greet at the end of the concert.

The concert will take place in the main sales ring at Tattersalls on the 9th December. Refreshments will be served from 6:30 pm and the concert will commence at 7:15 pm. All adult tickets will include a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.

Tickets are priced at £12 (adults), £3 (under 12s) and are available from Tindalls Newsagents and the Racing Welfare office on Park Lane, Newmarket.

Tickets can also be booked over the phone by calling Racing Welfare on 01638 560763
