Special Event 14th April: Making Wales a Welcoming and Prosperous Nation

TCC, HOPE not hate, Oxfam Cymru, and Welsh Refugee Council are partnering for a special national hustings event ahead of elections for the National Assembly of Wales.

Hundreds of people are expected at the event, which offers a chance for communities from across the country to hear how the main political parties are planning to make Wales a welcoming and prosperous nation.

The meeting will be tightly and fairly chaired, with questions being posed to the panel on issues such as migration, economic growth, health, education, and equality.

One of the event organisers Kay Polley said “This is a unique event in Wales and so we're really excited about it. We're especially looking forward to putting the politicians on the spot to hear what action they will take on important issues affecting communities across the nation.”

“We'll have a range of set questions and then will take questions from the audience – we'll be chairing the meeting fairly to make sure there's no bias for or against any of the panel.”
