Small Charities across the UK to benefit from matched donations on 22nd June
On Thursday 22nd June Localgiving will be doubling all one-time donations pound for pound up to £25.
The Small Charity Week Match Fund will launch at 10 am and run until the fund runs out, or 23:59 - whichever comes first.
This campaign will be marking Fundraising Day during Small Charity Week 2017.
On 22nd June, Localgiving is doubling donations of up to £25 to local charities and community groups across the UK through the Small Charity Week Match Fund.
This campaign takes place on Fundraising Day during Small Charity Week 2017.
Each year Small Charity Week celebrates and raises awareness of the essential work of the UK’s small charity sector - of the invaluable contribution that these groups make to the lives of millions of individuals, communities and causes across the UK and the rest of the world.
Localgiving has over 2500 members throughout the UK – ranging from disability groups to women’s refuges, foodbanks to sports clubs. During this campaign an online donation made to any Localgiving charity or community group of £25 with Gift Aid will be worth £54.34!
To find a charity to support all people have to do is visit www.localgiving.org and search for a charity in their local area or serving a cause they are interested in.
The Small Charity Week match fund has been kindly funded by the Foundation for Social Improvement (The FSI) and a private philanthropist.
Stephen Mallinson, Chief Executive of Localgiving, said:
“Local charities are at the forefront of every community in the UK, offering vital services and supporting the most vulnerable people in society.
Over the last few weeks it has been truly inspiring to see communities across the UK coming together with compassion and energy to support those in need.
Localgiving hopes that through the Small Charity Week Match Fund campaign, even more people are able to connect with charities and community groups and offer their support.
Our campaign also encourages local organisations to engage with online fundraising - an increasingly important channel for groups who are seeking to diversify their funding sources.”
