News provided by Pressat Wire on Wednesday 21st May 2014

A fascinating insight into what it takes to become a professional footballer, and how three young talented players achieved the dream.

Samsung's Win A Pro Contract competition is the subject of a ground-breaking two-part documentary on Sky Sports One this Friday (May 23), kicking off a weekend of Football League action.

The first episode of 'Pro Contract – The Football Dream' will air at 5:00pm on Sky Sports One, followed by Episode Two at 5:30pm. Sky Sports One will repeat the two episodes on Saturday (May 24) and Sunday (May 25) at 1pm, just before the Football League Play-Off Finals get underway.

Samsung's nationwide competition, offering three talented amateur footballers the chance to win a one-year professional contract with partner clubs Leyton Orient, Swindon Town and Wycombe Wanderers, has just completed its fourth season.

A record breaking 5,700 players entered this year's competition, launched by Matt Le Tissier in June 2013, and now three talented players have been chosen by Russell Slade, Mark Cooper and Gareth Ainsworth to sign with their respective clubs next season.

Winger Nathan Evans 19, of Middlesbrough, will join Wycombe Wanderers, defender Josue Antonio, 18, of Mitcham, will sign up with the Swindon Town squad and midfielder Jake Burgess, 16, from Salisbury, will join League 1 play-off Final contenders Leyton Orient.

Kicking off with the first round of tense trials back in November 2013, the documentary will feature interviews with players, coaches and managers involved in the process, including QPR striker Charlie Austin who supported the Finalists at Orient's Matchroom Stadium in March.

'Pro Contract – The Football Dream' will document the highs and lows of hopefuls chasing their dream, and will provide a rare insight behind-the-scenes of what it takes to become a professional footballer, and how it finally feels to achieve that dream.
