SG Veteris Appoints Another Industry Heavyweight as MLRO in Estonia
Vilms will play a pivotal role in building out the risk and compliance sector of the SG Veteris Estonian business.
SG Veteris, a global cryptocurrency-based fintech services group headquartered in London, has appointed Janika Vilms as the new MLRO in Estonia.
A veteran of the industry, Vilms has over 20 years of experience in the banking sector. She has previously worked with big names like Danske and LHV. In her time at Danske, Vilms was responsible for the AML and KYC standards and the entire quality control system in Estonia and the Baltics. She joins SG Veteris most recently from LHV where she led Risk Assessment, overseeing monitoring scenarios, onsite and offsite inspections, compliance audits, and internal AML standards.
