SERS In Double Celebration

SERS Energy Solutions Group - one of the UK's leading experts in energy-saving technology and construction - is enjoying a double celebration after being listed in a prestigious league table and winning a top energy award.

SERS, which has offices in Cannock, Caerphilly, Exeter and Lockerbie, has been listed in the annual Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 table which ranks the UK's private companies with the fastest growing sales over three years.

SERS achieved its position at number 96 in the prestigious league table after increasing sales by more than 50 per cent a year. The group has tripled in size in the last two years in terms of employee numbers and turnover, which is now almost £30 million.

And in a separate development SERS scooped the sought-after Retrofit Installer of the Year award for the high standard of its insulation work. The award was presented at the Retro Expo exhibition in Islington. The company was also shortlisted in the in the Large Scale Project of the Year category.

The award was given to SERS recognised the group's energy saving projects around the country and focussed on customer engagement, customer service, innovation and quality. Judges looked at all of SERS' areas of expertise including internal and external solid wall insulation, solar panel installation, boiler replacements and loft insulation.

SERS director, Mike Roberts said the listing in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league was something they could only have dreamed of a few years ago.

"The prestige of getting a ranking in this league reflects the huge steps made by SERS to grow its business. The need for warm homes to reduce fuel bills and conserve energy has never been more important and our growth reflects the quality of the work which our people achieve. It's a fantastic achievement - as is the Retrofit.

Installer of the Year award - and both recognise the hard work and expertise of the SERS teams who were able to carry out improvements which will give people a warm home this winter and every winter, as well as drastically reducing their fuel bills," he said.

The Fast Track 100 league table and awards programme, now in its 17th year, is sponsored by Virgin, Barclays, Baker Tilly and BGF, and is compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events company.
